Smart meter governance

Advisory council oversees smart meter benefits

A Ministerial Advisory Council for the Advanced Metering Infrastructure (smart meters) program was established to provide a collaborative framework for key stakeholders, including consumer groups and industry representatives, to work towards bringing forward the benefits of the smart meter program.

Importantly, the Council monitors smart meter consumer information and engagement programs to ensure that Victorians have the facts when it comes to smart meters.

Members of the Council include key stakeholders including consumer groups and industry representatives – a cross-section of both the community and industry.

Ministerial Advisory Council members include the following:

  • AGL Energy
  • CitiPower and Powercor
